The Spire of Dublin, a brand new 120 metre high landmark in the heart of Dublin City, was unveiled in 2002. Why they want to ruin a perfect main street (O'Connell street) with an ugly steel needle is beyond me, but the irish have always had their own agenda. Pretty it's not.
