Norway's Peter Solberg won the Wales Rally GB on Sunday, thereby clinching his first world rally championship.

With co-driver Phil Mills he won by 43.6 seconds over title challenger Sebasitan Loeb. Solberg is the first Norwegian ever to win a rally WC.

Solberg, driving for Subaru, won his first-ever world rally in Wales last year.

He controlled this year's race from the first morning. He won all eight stages on Saturday, and went into the final day with a comfortable lead.
